Exhibition at Hjorths Fabrik

Cassius Clay, in collaboration with Hjorths Fabrik, have  invited 15 international woodfire artists to exhibit at Hjorths Fabrik i Rønne. www.bornholmsmuseer.dk/hjorths/   

Hjorths fabrik (Hjorths Factory)  is a working ceramics factory and museum, owned and managed by the second generation of the Hjorths family.  Hans Hjorth, the founder of the factory, was one of the first in Scandinavia to build and fire woodkilns.  He was also the first to develop a clay body that could be fired to over 1250 degrees celsius.  He was a pioneer among potters who were working with stoneware in Scandinavia.
